With a growing collection of over 23,000 books, it preserves rare manuscripts and valuable texts across literature, philosophy, science, history, and the arts — offering a rich resource for scholars, students, and seekers alike.
Each book here is a step toward reconnecting with our cultural roots while shaping future thought.
Driven by a bold vision to build a collection of 10 lakh (1 million) books, the library aims to become one of the largest centers of knowledge in the region. Set against the serene backdrop of the Himalayas and inspired by the legacy of ancient Nalanda, it provides a peaceful and inspiring environment for deep thought, reflection, and lifelong learning.

This special day at Lekhak Gaon was dedicated to the memory of Sumitra Nandan Pant, the great poet of the Himalayas. Literature enthusiasts and young creatives recited his poetry and brought his emotional and nature-inspired vision to life through discussions and creative performances.
