Former President Ram Nath Kovind, who arrived as the chief guest, said, The establishment of a writer’s village in Devbhoomi will provide a better platform for new ideas and writing, which will produce writers and litterateurs in the future. The ideas generated from the writer’s village will influence the country and the world.

Gathering of Garhwali and Kumaoni Writers

The renowned writers of the state gathered in one place and participated in a session on the local dialect’s translation of various stories. Organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, under the National Book Layout, this event was both creative and commendable. The poetry conference and book discussion by Garhwali and Kumaoni writers were a major attraction. This event promoted the state’s literary heritage and inspired a new generation of writers. Through stories and poems written in local dialects, the culture was preserved. Along with Garhwali and Kumaoni, languages like Jaunsari and Jaunpuri were also highlighted, celebrating the state’s diversity. Such events have raised awareness about literature and generated new interest in local languages and literature.

Gathering of Hindi Writers from India and Abroad

The gathering, discussions, deliberations, and the launch of numerous books by renowned personalities in the writer’s village inspired emerging authors. This event showcased the diverse hues of Hindi literature, where renowned writers from India and abroad shared their experiences. The book launches and the intellectual exchange enriched the literary environment, providing inspiration and guidance to new writers. The conference facilitated the exchange of literary ideas and gave writers an opportunity to present their works on a broader platform. Moreover, it gave young writers the confidence and inspiration to take their writing in new directions.

Meeting of Padma Awardees in the Village Felt Like the Rashtrapati Bhavan

The meeting of these luminaries in the writer’s village, interacting with the former president and discussing various topics, reflects the commendable vision of this writer’s village. The participation of spiritual thinkers, writers, painters, photographers, politicians, legal experts, scientists, environmentalists, researchers, students, and locals from the village in this event was delightful. This unique event provided an exceptional platform for the exchange of art, culture, and ideas. The gathering inspired participants with diverse perspectives, leading to new dimensions of creativity and establishing meaningful dialogues in the fields of literature, science, and social service.

Attraction of Classical and Cultural Programs

The performances by renowned dancer Sonal Mansingh, National Academy of Theatre artists, regional folk artists, and various educational institutions were beautiful. These performances brought the cultural environment of the village to life and gave the audience a deep insight into Indian art. Arrival of Foreign Students Learning Hindi at the Writer's Village

An initiative was taken by inviting students, teachers, and vice-chancellors to the festival. There was dialogue between students and teachers at various places. An educational tour for foreign students coming to India to learn Hindi was organized, which became an important perspective for the event. The arrival of 120 students from 40 countries and their sharing of experiences on the Hindi subject made the program globally recognized. This educational tour promoted the global spread of the Hindi language and culture. Foreign students gained a deeper understanding of Indian society, its diversity, and culture. This dialogue and collaboration strengthened the Hindi language on the international platform.

The arrangement by the Sparsh Himalaya Foundation reflected the personal interest, thought, and practical life of the writer and scholar Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. His active hospitality and participation throughout the event showed his commitment to dialogue and relations with people. This event was a result of his vision and perspective, which incorporated literary, cultural, and educational aspects. Under Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank’s leadership, the festival was not only inspiring but also conveyed a message of harmony and collectivity among people.
